SINUS INFECTION (SINUSITIS) TREATMENT

• You have had fewer than 3 sinus infections in the past 12 months.
• You are NOT experiencing ear pain, difficulty hearing, or a heavy cough.
• Your sinus infection is new and you have NOT completed a full course of antibiotics.
• You have had symptoms for less than a month.
• You are between the ages of 2-64.

What to expect from your Virtual Visit

Sinus infection treatment may include prescription sinus medications that reduce sinusitis symptoms. Your Provider may also recommend over-the-counter sinus treatments and self-care strategies.

Medications typically prescribed

• Fluticasone propionate (Flonase)
• Amoxicillin-clavulanate (Augmentin)
• Amoxicillin

Note: Most sinus infections are viral and don’t require antibiotics.
